Something Wicked This Way Comes
Something Wicked This Way Comes is a one-shot adventure set during the Age of Ulra. The adventure follows Caleb, Laura, Qamara and Oba Shim as they board the mysterious Ghostlight Express and become entangled in a supernatural disaster.
Summary
The adventure begins when Caleb Bradford receives two tickets to the mysterious Ghostlight Express from Hambone, the familiar of Granny Honeylocust.
Upon boarding the train, Caleb meets Laura, Qamara and Oba Shim. During the journey, Caleb reveals that he is the son of Shoshana Vex, and that his mother has recently died.
As the train travels onward, strange events begin occurring throughout the Ghostlight Express. Spirits become increasingly hostile and unpredictable, eventually revealing the presence of a corrupted Haint aboard the train.
The Haint's influence drives the spirits into a frenzy and ultimately causes the train to derail.
Following the crash, the Haint possesses and animates the locomotive itself, transforming the train into a monstrous construct. The party battles the possessed engine and ultimately succeeds in destroying it.
After the battle, the survivors discover that they have become stranded in Druscenwald.
In the aftermath of the crash, an even more troubling discovery is made: the body of Granny Honeylocust is missing.
