He was the protagonist of the one-shot adventure Something Wicked This Way Comes. A Soother Allomancer, Caleb was also bonded to the wind sprite Raven and possessed magical abilities as both a Fiend Warlock and a Draconic Sorcerer. Early Life Caleb was born to Shoshana Vex and Charlie Bradford. His mother had once belonged to The Lunar Grove, a powerful coven of witches. However, she was excommunicated after marrying a mortal man and giving birth to Caleb, forcing her to leave behind her home, family and magical community. Charlie's death while Caleb was still very young left Shoshana isolated. The pair lived on the Bradford plantation, where Caleb was largely raised under the shadow of his paternal grandfather, Charles Bradford. Charles was a harsh and often cruel man who operated a tobacco plantation. He openly despised Shoshana because of her identity as a witch and was known to mistreat both Caleb and his workers. Despite these hardships, Caleb remained close to his mother and inherited many of her magical talents. Connection to the Lunar Grove Following Shoshana's death, Caleb unexpectedly received an invitation from the Matron of The Lunar Grove. After years of exile, the coven suddenly welcomed him back into their ranks. While the invitation appeared generous, Caleb remained suspicious of the Matron's true motives. The circumstances surrounding his mother's exile and the coven's renewed interest in him would become central to later events in his life. Something Wicked This Way Comes The adventure began when Caleb was visited by Hambone, the ancient opossum familiar of Granny Vex. Hambone arrived carrying tickets for the mysterious Ghostlight Express, leading Caleb toward an abandoned train station that should not have been operating. Aboard the train, Caleb met Laura, Oba Shim and Qamara. Together, the group became embroiled in a supernatural mystery involving witches, spirits and the fate of Granny Vex. During the journey, the party confronted a corrupted Haint whose influence caused the train to derail and eventually brought the locomotive itself to life. After defeating the possessed engine, Caleb used his abilities as a Soother to manipulate Pricilla Druscanwald and steal her locket. Abilities Allomancy Caleb is a Soother, granting him the ability to influence and suppress the emotions of others through Allomancy. Sprite Bond Caleb is bonded to the wind sprite Raven. The bond grants him supernatural abilities and serves as one of the defining aspects of his magical identity. Arcane Magic As both a Fiend Warlock and a Draconic Sorcerer, Caleb possesses a rare combination of pact magic and innate magical talent. Personality Caleb's difficult upbringing left him wary of authority and suspicious of hidden motives. Despite this, he possesses a strong sense of loyalty toward those he considers friends and allies.
