Caleb Bradford was a human adventurer who lived during the Age of Ulra. He was the protagonist of the one-shot adventure Something Wicked This Way Comes.
A Soother Allomancer, Caleb was bonded to the wind sprite Raven. He also possessed magical abilities as both a Fiend Warlock and a Draconic Sorcerer.
Early Life
Caleb was born to Shoshana Vex and Charlie Bradford.
His mother was a member of The Lunar Grove, a powerful coven of witches. However, after marrying Charlie Bradford and giving birth to Caleb, she was excommunicated from the coven and forced to leave her home and family behind.
Charlie's death while Caleb was still very young left Shoshana alone to raise her son.
The pair lived on the Bradford tobacco plantation under the authority of Caleb's grandfather, Charles Bradford. Charles was a cruel and bitter man who openly despised Shoshana because she was a witch and frequently mistreated both Caleb and the workers on his plantation.
Despite these hardships, Caleb remained close to his mother and inherited many of her magical talents.
The Lunar Grove
Following Shoshana's death, Caleb unexpectedly received an invitation from the Matron of The Lunar Grove.
After years of exile, the coven suddenly welcomed him back into their ranks. Caleb remained suspicious of the invitation and questioned whether the Matron had ulterior motives.
Something Wicked This Way Comes
The adventure began when Hambone, the ancient opossum familiar of Granny Vex, arrived at Caleb's home carrying two tickets for the mysterious Ghostlight Express.
Following the trail left by Hambone, Caleb boarded the train and met Laura, Oba Shim and Qamara.
During the journey, the party encountered a corrupted Haint whose influence caused the train to derail and brought the locomotive itself to life.
Together the group defeated the possessed engine and survived the disaster.
Following the battle, Caleb used his abilities as a Soother to influence Pricilla Druscanwald and steal her locket.
