Dionysus Elouth was a hero of the Age of Earth, a veteran of the Dusk War, and later the ascended God of Wine and Revelry. Originally born as the illegitimate son of Jace Marti, Dionysus spent much of his early life searching for the father he had never known.

Following the events of the Dusk War and the defeat of Vecna, Dionysus eventually ascended to godhood during the New Order. In the modern Age of Ulra, he is worshipped as a lesser deity associated with wine, celebration, revelry and fellowship.

Early Life

Dionysus was born to Sharon Elouth and Jace Marti.

He was raised on the Elouth family vineyard alongside his childhood friend Quala. During their youth, the two became inseparable.

At one point during his childhood, Dionysus drowned in a massive vat of wine. He was successfully revivified by Quala, an event that cemented their lifelong friendship.

Search for Jace Marti

Following the death of his mother, Sharon Elouth, Dionysus left the vineyard in search of his father.

His travels eventually led him to Waterdeep, where Jace Marti resided. Rather than rejecting him, Jace welcomed Dionysus into the family.

During this period, Dionysus became especially close to his half-sister Athena.
