Stormlight
Stormlight is a luminous form of divine energy found primarily in Alesia. It appears as brilliant green ribbons of light within High Storms and is believed to originate from the ongoing struggle between The Ten and the Old Gods.
Stormlight is one of the most powerful magical forces known on Ulra.
Appearance
Stormlight manifests as glowing green curtains and bands of light that resemble an aurora. During powerful High Storms, Stormlight can illuminate the landscape for miles in every direction.
In concentrated forms, Stormlight appears as swirling green energy or glowing mist.
Properties
Stormlight possesses numerous magical properties.
Known effects include:
- Strengthening connections to the Feywild
- Fueling magical artifacts
- Accelerating magical healing
Stormlight naturally dissipates over time if not contained.
Champions and Stormlight
Certain individuals known as Champions possess the ability to breathe in Stormlight.
When inhaled, Stormlight spreads throughout the Champion's body and grants extraordinary abilities.
Most notably, Stormlight rapidly heals wounds and injuries. Cuts close within moments, broken bones mend and severe injuries that would normally prove fatal can sometimes be survived.
The healing process continues until the Stormlight is exhausted or the injury is fully repaired.
Champions often describe the sensation as inhaling cold air mixed with lightning.
